How do you remove the rear seat from a wagon? 200

Last week I was helping a friend out and we wanted to remove the rear seat.We loosened some brackets but could not get the seat to dislodge.It looked like it needed to pivot forward but no matter how much we tried it did not budge.Do you pull it forward from the rear passenger side towards the front passenger? Or start on drivers side? I've never owned a wagon so I'm not familiar with this procedure.TIA
