If you have a working speedometer and no forward motion, the annulus of the overdrive is damaged. I'd be careful of how you moved the auto.

At this point, if it broke after the sppedometer drive gear, there is only about 1 inche of shaft keeping the driveshaft from falling on the ground.

The annulus is a replaceable part.

However, it would be just as cost effective to find a used D-type and refurbish that.

Contact me off list. I do not have a D-type one on hand. I know where there is one and how much he wants.
