96 us 960 bat cable problem 900 1996

I have a 96 960 sedan that has a broken aux batt cable. The small blue cable broke off the main positive terminal. It is the one bolted onto the large cable.
It has three thin walls in the shape of a square covering a raised square area on the main cable.

Two questions. Is this connected directly to the starter and I was thinking of drilling the remaining end and bolting it down to the main cable.

I can see that both cables are in a harness cover running under and to the right of the engine.

Looks long and I dont think I could get this locally tomorrow. May have to order from fcp.

Any quick and easy ideas to get it going again.

Thanks for the help!
