why do water pumps wait until winter to fail ?? 200 1989

The cold weather tends to stiffen the O-rings, so the antifreeze has an escape route. Happened to me last week and I figured...might as well replace the pump too (only 40k miles on the last one). Had an Hepu water pump waiting in the wings. I just ordered another just in case.

Make sure you have 4 new studs for the cooling fan, otherwise you'll have to pull from the old pump.
