Am I stupid? How Can I disconnect brake line from caliper? 700 1988

Okay, I have a caliper that I need to replace because it is seizing up I guess and loccking that wheel(front passenger side). I am trying to remove the two brake hoses from the caliper--there is a fitting that is between the hoses and the caliper, but it is not a union: ie; you turn them both out or both in together and they never seperate from each other or from the caliper.

What gives?

Thanks

(or doesn't give, as the case may be)
