YES! The 93 heater valve is different 200 1993

When I replaced the valve X3, I drained the coolant system first by utilizing the drain plug on the passenger side of the block. Please note, coolant will remain in the hoses and core, so have a bowl handy to catch the coolant when you disconnect the valve hose on the driver side.

Once the driver side hose is disconnected, undo or break the mounting clamp that hold the valve in place. Pull the valve assembly towards the driver side foot well and unhook the S-bend control rod from the valve arm... be patient, you don't want a kink in the rod.

Once the control rod is unhooked, pull the valve further into the driver side foot well and unhook/unclamp the other hose.

Installation is the reverse of removal EXCEPT it might be easier to connect the control rod before hooking up the passenger side hose.

Hope that helps... oh yeah, make sure you don't ingest ANY coolant as its very bad for your kidneys and is easy to do with your head on the floor!
