Informative info (hopefully) on charging problem solved. 700 1989

My 89 760, driven by the daughter - out of the blue started with some odd behavior ...ABS & SRS light on, then off (according to the daughter) and a blinking of the right side button that controls the air conditioner. This would come and go.

Thought for sure it had to be a short, so started to seek out methods and a cure. During this time I replaced and changed batteries a number of times.

Well, it turned out to be a bad alternator - but as yet no one has said, and I do not know why it was making the button blink or lights on the dash go funky.

Anyway, always check the alternator - NOT the way I did - according to knowledgeable Bricksters here .. (I removed the hot cable while car was running, and the car died ..was told this is a no-no)

Thanks for all the help and ATTENTION - (gave my wife a rest!).
