Feedback Speakers 900 1991

I am getting feedback through my speakers (crackling like a power switch is being turned on and off). This feedback continues even when the ignition is off and the keys removed. I have removed the radio and with the keys out of the ignition the speakers continue to crackle. The latter tends to kill the battery over time. I can simulate the noise by pulling the Audio fuse and reconnecting it. The noise when propogated without the latter is continuous but random. Pulling the fuse eliminates the feedback, of course, it also eliminates the radio/stereo.

Is there a speaker relay that could be causing the latter? Does anybody know why there is power coming to the speakers even with the ignition off.

Regards,

Perry
