ATE Caliper Missing Part?? 900 1993

Hi:

I decided to tackle rear brake work on my '93 940T. Bought pads, rotors, and then found seized caliper so decided to replace both sides also.

I bought new replacement calipers and did passenger side without incident. When I installed driver side and went to bleed it, brake fluid dripped out of bottom of caliper...hmmm.

I took caliper off again, inspected, and noticed that one piston (outboard) can be moved in and out by finger movement and inboard side can not.

I pulled the piston out from the dust boot and it came freely. I don't know what the inside should look like - but - it seems there should be some kind of ring/seal INSIDE the caliper that the piston is retained by. In this one, the dust boot is the only thing holding the piston into the cylinder.

I'm going to take the caliper back to the auto shop Monday, but wondered if anyone could advise what kind of part may be missing. Is there a metal, or rubber or ?? internal ring-type part that didnt get assembled on this side??
