I installed a new Volvo oil temp gauge in my 240T a while ago. I have continued to have a small leak that I didn't have with the the original oil pan plug. a close look at the plug/sendor shows a small taper just under the head of the plug. That seems to prevent me from getting a good "crush" on the copper washer. I have heard that these oil temp kits originally came with an adapter that screwed into the pan and the sensor into the adapter but I can't find any info. Anyone know? An alternative would be to machine off the small shoulder to make it look more like a conventional plug. Thanks
