Inside 740 window scraper? 700 1987

The inside scrapers often crack and fall apart, especially on the earlier cars. How are the scrapers on your old door panels? It is not that hard to change them over to the replacement panels, once you understand how to release the spring clips. As far as I know, they are the same for all years, except that later ones seem to hold up better.

Note, however, that there are two types of door panels---up to and including 88, and 89 and later. The late type are a lot sturdier, and have room for bigger speakers. They are not directly interchangeable, but I don't think it's all that hard to put late panels in an early car. If you are doing this, make sure to get ALL the plastic clips that mount the panel to the door, including the two studs that go under the speaker grill. They are different. You will need them. There is also a difference in the various wiring connectors, (speaker and door edge light) with the late type starting with the 88 model year. This is less of a problem, as you can splice wires if needed.
