stupidness apparently cured 200 1986

I broke down and said the neighbors be damned. climbed under the brick today and loosened the drain plug to let out my over filled oil. i let much more out than I thought i needed to. Turns out i had over 1 quart too much! I fired her up and drove her for about 10-15 min in mixed conditions, and she stopped smoking after about 10 min. and her temperature settled down to it's normal range which is slightly below the midpoint on the gage. how could i have force fed her that much oil???? i checked the rear cam plug...while she is not precisely vertical in the slot, it seems to be pretty secure and i couldn't see any leekage there. I think the leaks were from the flame trap and oil accumulator. I popped the flame trap out to look at it, it was very oily but perfectly clear. I really hope this fixes my blunder, as i am seriously considering dropping a some cash into the old girl's body in the spring. that is only justified if the engine keeps pulling like a champ even at 362k miles!....she will run at 80-85mph all day long....thanks brick heads
