Bummer on the engine/tranny

So I just thought I would report on the condition of my 87 244dl. It appears that the PO of the car did not take as good a care as I thought they did. I was diving into dropping out hte tranny and discovered that the output shaft seal is bad too! Eeeek! alos the rubber mount for the tranny crossmember seems to be shot. TOO much work for me, which is a real dissapointment.

Has anyone else had tis experience? Bad rear main seal, output shaft AND supports? Any ideas? Blow it up? Or just fix it...Anywho, I just thought it would make good discussion...
