single carb

Not with a 2-carb manifold. You might get a little better mileage with
one carb but basically the two carb manifold gets a little better fuel
distribution so if you drive the same speed with dual carbs and everything
is in the best possible tune you might get better mileage with dual carbs.
But if you start flexing your butterflies you will put out more horsepower
and use more gas. It is more a matter of engine rpm than anything else.
