1984 245 turbo wagon

I looked at a 1984 turbo wagon with 116k on it yesterday. I went out with a pal who is a good volvo
mechanic and he said everything looks pretty straight, however he is concerned about the turbo
element, it looks ok now, but without day to day knowledge of the car it's hard to make up my mind
about it. The guy wants $2500 for it, though that seems high to me. The body is pretty much blemish free, not mint, but good. The interior is also good, though it could use a little work. I have already
searched through the various threads on this site and have not found an exact match. Any advise about the price, longitivity of the turbo, anything else about this car?
