So far, to correct the hunting, surging, and stalling problem, I have had the FI "top end" cleaned, throttle body cleaned, injectors cleaned, new ignition wiring installed, service on the distributor, new fuel filter installed, flame trap replaced, and a new block temperature sensor installed. The mechanic working on the car did not think the FI control wiring needed to be replaced but on the other hand, the shop I took the car to does not staff a Volvo specialist. Still now and then when I shove in the clutch the car dies. What's left to replace? Idle control valve, oxygen sensor, air mass meter? Have I missed something? Does anyone have any ideas? The car has less than 114,000 miles on it.
