does the electric fan for the a.c. have a thermostat control?91 240 200

my friend's 91 240 has been converted to r134 in 1999,the ac does not work,actually it was working somewhat until we tried recharging it;is there some fuse somewhere for the fan?is there something common with the ac i should be looking for?help...please , kris
