240 cold hard start problem 200

My 87 240 DL has had a hard cold start problem for a few weeks now. It starts after about 5 seconds the dies then it does it again.If I nurse it with the gas pedal it will run but not well. After this it runs like a champ. I have also noticed that there is no hiss sound when i first turn the key to start it up..My 740 hisses fo about two seconds but this one does not. I am thinking fuel pump relay but also fuel pressure regulator. What do you think?Any input would be appreciated. Thank you. JoeS 87 240 dl 150k , 90 740 gle 150K
