Was doing a bit of routine maintainence today. Have an stumble or misfire that had me a bit perturbed as I has swapped in new cap, rotor plugs and cables a week ago plus everything else check out ok.
tonight when it got dark I decided to pop the hood and see if I could spot a a short or whatever. Well I spotted the problem, 2 of the 4 Bosch cables had failures of the cable insulation because I could see the lightning from the cables to the block or the nearest metal.
Pukked out a set of Bougicords from my old 90,(these were a year old when I totalled it and have been in a box since 2000, installed 'em and the stumble is gone, no lightning under the hood and all is well.
Bosch set goes back to the seller tomorrow.
Anyone else had this sort of "quality" issue with Bosch cables?
