SLIGHT SKIP IS FINALLY GONE 200 1988

I have been working on the 88/245 wagon for the past two weeks,I pulled the head off to seat the valves new valve stems seals new lifter cusions. Then I went ahead and did a port and polish on the head that took awhile.I put in a B cam and cut the compression on the head back to 8.5 compression so that I could add a turbo later on.The engine always had a slight skip to it and after all that work still had the skip. For the last two days I have been after the skip and finally got it.The throttle body was the answer the rubber sills on the shaft was the problem. When I bought the car there was a small bag of rubber sills in the glove compartment that I didn't know what they were for till I took the throttle body apart. The car now has a idle that I can live with. The B cam makes it idle alittle rougher than the M but now the car rives alot freer and the power is a lot more than the stock engine. The moral of the story is that if you have that small skip at idle look to the throttle body sills. That may be your problem also.
Thanks
Rodney
