Dilemma...Keep my 89 240 Wagon or jump at a 95 940 Wagon?

I've come upon a bit of a dilemma.

I presently own a 89 240DL Wagon with 194,000km.(approx 121,500 miles) Pretty good shape, a bit of rust starting to creep in around wheel wells, rear door. Pretty clean interior. Engine wise, sweet as can be. We have 3 boys, one in a car seat, and it seems to be pretty crowded in the rear seat as the other 2 are starting to get a bit bigger.(11 & 8)

I've recently stumbled upon a 95 940 Wagon (Non Turbo) with just over 195,000km. It seems to have a fair bit more room in the back seat, as well as the built in child seat plus the Center Shoulder strap for when he's out of the kid seat. I've yet to totally check it out, history, test drive, etc. For the most part looks to be in pretty good shape, I noticed one hole in one of the rear seats, and a bit of a door ding but other than that(on the surface) looks pretty good. I think I'd be looking at approx $4,000 more to pick it up, if everything checks out.

My wife (bless her) does not want a van so I figured this might keep us going for a bit if it works out.

My question(s) to all you Bricksters...what would you do? Is there anything particular I should look out for in a 940? I know they used to get rated very highly by owners. Would you part with a 240 for a 940?

Sorry about the long post... I just know I'll get some valuable tips from you folks!
