I just heard the details of a big local car show on the radio...it's TOMORROW and I have a ton of things I need to get done around the house now that I'm semi-mobile again.
For those of you who didn't catch it, I broke a whole iliac wing off my pelvis last November, and surgery wasn't an option. So it's still broken, no sign of healing yet. I can move around with less pain now, so I have several months of chores to catch up on.
ANYWAY...the big local car club is hosting a charity show tomorrow, all day long. Live bands, a 'poker walk' (which I'll stay out of!) and some awesome prizes including a Chevy 350 engine, a Chevy Turbo 350 trans, a complete 5,000 watt sound system, etc.
Luckily, I spent several hours last Tuesday washing the Volvo and getting the tree sap off it. Then I covered it, so it should be reasonably clean now.
At the moment everything is still installed on the car - I'm not in the middle of one of my week-long fix-it jobs that would take anyone else about 10 minutes.
The last time I entered my PV544 in a show I got 'Best Classic' against some great cars, including an incredible '66 Shelby Cobra (clone) and a gorgeous Model A.
The worst I can do is have some fun and talk cars all day, right? No way to lose this time!
