So this morning on my way to work as I pulled out on to the road my exhaust let go... My uncle races stock cars and the sound that was unleashed would have put up a good fight with one of his cars, anyway. So I pulled over and discovered that the Y junction between the cat and the manifold was completely broken. It went out right at the bottom of the Y (the single pipe side). So after getting to work I used a soda can and some clamps from one of the mechanics for our fleet vehicles and I patched the two sections together enough so that my entire car wasn't shaking, well at least not as violently as before. Now I haven’t gone under the car enough to see what happened yet, will do that once I get the garage cleared out tonight.
Any Ideas on what I’m looking at needing? Everything from the cat back was replaced a year or 2 ago so that's fine. Is that location from the manifold to the single pipe a junction of 2 pieces or is it a single unit, and if I were to replace it what would I need for parts.
