Throttle Body Cleaning... Wow. 200 1989

You know, it never ceases to amaze me how much better the car runs after a throttle body cleaning. I hadn't had mine thoroughly cleaned (i.e., completely removed from car and cleaned) in about 2 years. I took the 30-40 minutes to do on Friday and replaced the gasket. Just driving around town and gunning it on the Interstate's on-ramp was definitely a pleasure.

Tomorrow, I bring my baby in for new front struts (Boge Turbo Gas), strut mounts (SKF), new brake rotors (Zimmermann) and pads (OEM) all around. I'm dying to see how it will handle/drive after my old, broken, and crappy original strut mounts and piece-of-crap 5 year old Gabriel (gag, yes.. I know) struts feel when they are replaced. I had all the front end bushings and tie-rods replaced in January, so, hopefully this will completely tighten up the rest of any loose ends!

Now time for a hypothetical question... How would broken strut mounts affect a car's performance, even if all the other front end parts were new and struts were new? Would it lead to a jarring and harsher ride?

Thanks..
