Rear glass removal. 140-160 1972

If your 142/144 is rusty around the bottom rear glass corners, take heart.
I removed the rear glass out of my project 142 without incident. I sat where the back seat would be and used two wide bladed screw drivers to push the out the inside lip of the gasket, which is what holds the glass in the body. I carefully pryed back the gasket with one screwdriver as a starting point. Then one screwdrive blade width at a time I pushed the gasket out to the upper corners of glass and then down each side. by the time I reached the bottom of both sides the glass was easy to lift out, gasket and all. Just remember the glass and gasket come out together. Maybe reinstallation won't be so bad either.
