Hello all. In an August '04 response, garyh said with respect to this problem (fuel pump running continuously with key turned to II and motor off) on another owners vehicle that besides the FPR or check valve, this problem could be occurring because
"the coil voltage is on continuously, indicating another electrical problem".
Does anyone know what this "other electrical problem" he is referring to might be??? I have the same problem with my 760 turbo wagon along with apparently low fuel pressure (i disconnected the fuel line from the rail and fuel just drizzled out, no spray from high pressure release). I'm also experiencing poor power in high demand situations like climbing hills and hard acceleration.
I just replaced the check valve and replaced the FPR about 6 months ago. No fuel leaking out of the FPR when I remove the air hose. I can hear a buzzing from the prepump and also from the main pump, so I am assuming they are fully funcional. I would really appreciate some input if anyone has an idea on this!
Thanks all. Great site!!!
