Guys
About a year ago I replaced my intank fuel pump in my 85' 240. I have made up a special key for removing the retaining ring but it is just a pain trying to remove these old hoses. Anyways, last time I replaced the Intank pump unit it seems that the fuel sending sensor got out of range and as a result when I fill the gas tank full the fuel level drops all the way to 0(out of range) after a couple of miles on the full tank the fuel sender returns to normal full levels and then it drops at 3/4 of the tank(gap). I was thinking that I might go ahead and replace the fuel hoses that get to the fuel tank. They have become quite old and hardened. It will also be a good opportunity to replace the fuel sending unit with either a junkyard unit or with a new unit.
Since a new unit cost from $100-130 I was thinking of going for a used junkyard unit.
Can I use a sending units from 240 up to 1993?
In addition what are the hose sizes I need to replace?
Any other ideas?
Thanks
Michael
