Its the old 740 no-start, no-spark problem. I've read all about it here and elsewhere.
Mine is a '91 740 no-turbo sedan (Rex-Regina system). I've replaced the engine-speed sensor with a new one. No go. I've swapped the radio-suppession relay with the cooling fan relay. No go. I've tested the resistances in the coil and they're within normal limits.
I know that the power stage is suspect, but I don't know how to test it without going out and buying another. Is there a test for this thing? Or any way to descriminate between a power stage problem and an ECU problem?
Thanks, Craig
