oops i did it again. but i wont buy any more. bought a 85 244 turbo with intercooler 180,000 miles in good condition with a few things needing attention. dont have much experience with turbos but understand the concept. it was a e bay purchase so i took a chance drove it home 275 miles yesterday and had a few issues. the first two hours it was fine then started to backfire when i went above 44 m.p.h. stopped to check and the plug wires are dryrotting. rotor and cap are old and not bosch. about two more hours of trolling at 44 m.p.h. and it started to work fine again and would go as fast as i wanted. couldnt sleep in dont know why? well better go change some obvious faults and any advice will be greatly appreciated. thanks
