Bulb out sensor relay 200 1986

My NA 240 sedan began blowing the brake fuse every time the pedal was depressed. I meter a short between the brake light switch and the back end after disconecting both taillight harnesses. By by passing the Bulb out sensor the short is gone. Is the bulb out sensor repairable in any way by resoldering or am I bound for replacement?
