System is Too Rich 900 1996

I recently bought a 1996 960 with 57K miles. Last week the Check Engin light came on and an Auto Zone diagnotic test revealed these 4 Codes: P0172 (system too rich at bank1), P0301 (Cyl 1 misfiring), P0300 (random multi-cyl misfiring) and P0302 (cyl 2 misfiring). I changed the spark plugs (using the Volvo dealer brand) and the air filter. I reset the system by disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 30 seconds and this seemed to take care it. I had Auto Zone run the diagnostic test again and the system showed "PASS". This evening the light came on again, but the only code revealed (again using Auto Zone) is P0172 (system too rich at bank1).

I owned 240s and 700 series all along, but this is the first experience I have ever had with this L6 2.9 engine. The Chilton manual does not seem to shed too much light on the 960. Any tips on this matter in particular and the 960 in general will be greatly appreciated.
Ali
