86 turbo good or bad? 700

Is the 1986 turbo motor and automatic a good engine if it has been well maintained or is this a troublesome year? It currently has 160k miles but has always had synthetic since day one from the original owner. I always see volvos w/ 300k + miles but rarely an 86. Is there a reason why? thanks ahead.
