I put in the the key, turn to position one and all the dash lights go on; I turn it to start the car and absolutly nothing changes at all. When the key is in run position i hear nothing at the pumps or nothing at the starter. I checked the starter with a voltmeter and saw that it was getting power (i put the positive electrode on the screw on connector that goes to the battery and the negative on the screw on connector below it that has nothing screwed to it). I also get no spark as i connect the battery terminals. The battery is brand new and charged, so i know it's not that. I just replaced the entire engine harness and ignition harness, ignition switch, fuel pump relay, spark plugs, and spark plug wires so i know it's not those. For some reason, I don't have turn signals either. I've tried so much and have absolutly no clue as to what's causing this. I cleaned and sanded the connector on the main ground wire and even did the same on where it's grounded to. Nothing changed. I'm thinking about doing this for every single ground there is electronically tomorrow but I'd like to see if anyone has any input of any kind on this matter, I would realllllly appreciate it. If someone could tell me how to jump the starter on an 86 240 wagon I'd appreciate it as well, even though it won't do much good without any fuel getting to the system. I want to find the root of the problem. The previous owner was starting the car by putting a wire he had connected to the starter in the cigar lighter. I bought the car not running. He said it just stoped running one day. I put gas in recently too. Once again, any help is appreciated. Thanks a buch....
