Brake Warning Light was 'on' for a moment.... 900

My car is a 1993 940 N/A with 172k miles. It's been cold in Michigan for the last couple of weeks. Two nights ago it was close to zero (Fahrenheit) and when I banked an entrance ramp onto the freeway the brake warning light came on without my applying the brake pedal. In fact I was accelerating. It went out in less than twenty seconds. I pumped the brake pedal to see if the master had failed and it felt normal. The fluid has been changed every two years. ooking for suggestions. The problem has not shown up again, but it's also warmed up into the teens.

1) Is this an electrical problem?

2) Does the master contain the sensor that indicates failure in the brake system? Can the sensor be checked?
