fuel pump relay 700 1989

i've got a 1989 740 gl 200f,i can't get both relays to engage at the same time,the relay has been tested and appears in perfect working order,the problem appears to be the earth for the relay,does anybody know where it earths,i've tried wiring in a standard relay and can get the main pump running but can not locate the live feed for the tank pump.the car has an lpg conversion and these relays must cut off when the lpg cuts in,my self wired relay will do this,but not the proper one,any help please?
