Found '84 240 GL Wagon in junk yard - ?s 200 1984

Hi,

I have an '86 240 DL Wagon and was poking around a local junk yard and found a pretty complete / pretty good looking '84 240 GL wagon with aluminum wheels (looks like Turbo wheels). There are a few scrapes, no real dents, a few small spots of surface rust. Interrior is complete, but seats are shreaded. It has power windows, a big tach, roof rack... I believe it is a greyish - silver color with a rack.

The title says "salvaged"...

I have no info on why it is in the yard or how it came to be there... The guy didn't even remember it was there.

Should I have the foolish idea of buying it with the hopes of getting it running? I originally thought about trying to get it really cheap for the parts for my '86.

If I did revive it, I'd have to get the local "import auto" to fix it... I am not a mechanic and know less than nothing about diesels.

Is it possible to get "salvaged" removed from the title?

What is it worth?

What would you do?

Thanks,
Will in NC
