At my wit's end with wet carpets in my 740!!! 700 1988

The water leak on the rear passenger side of my car is seriously driving me nuts. I have eliminated my sunroof as a problem, and the door seals seem secure. I have been pouring water all over my car like a maniac and I can't find any evidence of leakage. Yet, the last time it rained for 3 days straight there was about a 1 1/2" deep puddle on the rear passenger floor. My last resort idea is to have my brother spray the car with a hose with me inside watching for leaks. Has anyone here ever had a REALLY bad leak in this spot? Most of the searching I've done seems to turn up leaks found elsewhere in the car.
