fixed engine wiring harness, now turn signals don't work 200 83

I've got an '83 DL wagon (Canadian model with B21A), and just fixed the engine wiring harness (the cheap way). Now, all of a sudden, my turn signals and hazard lights only work occasionally. Is there a connection, did I do something wrong in the engine compartment, or is this a completely unrelated problem?
