I just replaced the air mass meter in my 1990 245 after having some trouble with the car...the check engine light was lit and the car would buck on the highway (or just about anywhere elses) and would stall every so often. The air mass meter seemed like the solution especially since my mechanic told me this was the problem. Since the installation of the new air mass meter, the check engine light does not go on anymore, but the car stalls every time the engine revs go down to idle...I have to rev the engine when starting it, if I put the clutch in while driving anywhere the engine speed will go down normally but the car will stall once the tach is in the 1000 rpm range. Another thing that I noticed is that the gas pedal isn't as responsive as normal, if I have it slightly depressed, so as to maintain my current speed on a local road, there is no response whatsoever, it has to be depressed more than normal for any response whatsoever.
