AW71 transmission- gear position relay 700 1990

Anybody know the location and circuit for the gear position relay? My 1990 765t with 2.4LH has an idle problem in drive. Diagnostics say there is no response when moving shifter from N to D. (LED continues to blink rapidly)I read that the CIS gets input to increase idle when in drive. I looked at transmission and I can see the OD relay and wire but no others. It would seem that this circuit may need some checking out.
