Tach 1800 1966

Some time ago I got some advice on this forum about tach wiring on a '66 1800. One other point I forgot to address is a spade connector on the back of the tach. Is this a chassis ground? Since the tach gets its power from the coil primary, the only thing that makes sense is a ground. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
