Transmission fluid to radiator??? 900 1995

I would appreciate comments.

I replaced the radiator in my wife's 945 yesterday. There are two metal lines running to the radiator. The top one had coolant. The bottom one had transmission fluid. I could understand if there was coolant in both or transmission fluid in both, but coolant in one and transmission fluid in the other? I would appreciate an explanation.
