caution about aftermarket master cylinder bottle.. 200

a month or so ago the master cylinder failed. I was happy to get a new one with the bottle from rock auto for 18 bucks,, last one in stock, it was on sale cheap..

what a deal.. only issue was that the brand new fresh looking white bottle that looked exactly like the Volvo one except no Volvo name on it,, well it had a seam weld and it wasn't welded right and it leaked all my fluid resulting in suddenly, almost no brakes.. I put the old reservoir back, bled my brakes and all is ok.. I did order a new master cylinder first. I dont know if its worth sending it back..so I have a spare master cylinder now.

- a warning to others if you get one of these cheap plastic aftermarket brake reservoirs, maybe use your old one. that was very dangerous. I looked up the company name and it seemed to come from a Canadian rebuilder that went out of business.. maybe I got the last one.
