780 Turbo Pressure Regulator

Edited: I think my problem is solved.

My 89 780 has the turbo plus option. However, the air box is broken beyond repair and will not seal. A vacuum hose is to connect from the air box to the turbo plus solenoid, so I am not expecting the system to work at all.

Is it a problem to eliminate the turbo plus vacuum line completely? I mean to remove the T fitting at the turbo.

I am either going to try fitting a replacement air box into the car, if I can find one, or fabricating an air box for an aftermarket filter. This would eliminate the turbo plus system altogether, and I cannot envision using it, if I understand the turbo plus system. I am not drag racing...
