High mileage 745 Turbo. Oil pump as preventative maintenance?

I have a 1992 740 turbo. It’s approaching 300,000 miles. I need to do the rear main seal. The car runs great ans I plan on keeping it. I would hate for an oil pump to be a weak link. Should I consider replacing this as good insursnce?
