exhaust resonator 200 1982

A local garage replaced the clanking resonator on my 82 GLT a couple of weeks ago. They installed a straight pipe after extricating the Walker resonator.

This third muffler did seem excessive when there are two other mufflers in place.

But, now I am hearing a back-off sound when decelerating or lifting my foot off the gas. There is also some thumping coming from somewhere.

The garage did look for a replacement but none seemed to be available to them. It is an OK Tire franchise.

This piece of the exhaust system is available to Canadian models that did not have a converter.

Anybody know if these resonators can still be purchased somewhere?
