I want to put in new struts. 200

How do I tell if I have gas charged struts or regular struts? When I look online to see struts there seems to be two types and some need special spacers or adapters. I think my 1986 255 gl is all stock. Would it just be non high pressure gas filled struts? I could order the KYBs or Bilsteins and they would go in easy with no problems just like the stock ones?
