m40 speedo worm friction spring 120-130

Hello. My m40 is in and working fine, except no spin on the speedometer cable. I checked at the transmission and the little gear shaft is not turning. I know I didn't put in a "friction spring" along with the worm gear, so I assume this is the problem. Does anybody have one? Or a picture of one? And can I install it (or a substitute) without pulling the transmission? (Trying not to whine)
