TPS sensors,,Can you use a generic TPS??are they inter changeable?? 1992

I think I have narrowed my problems down to the TPS,,,Its starts & runs for a few seconds &then dies,,
Any ideas,,,I see some TPS on ebay for $30 new are they interchangeable w any domestic stuff??I know that the MPS sensor is a GM part ,,,Thanks

SO far I have replaced the Cat ,the spark plugs & wires,,The cap & rotor,vacuumm hoses,,cleaned the regina power base & coil,,,
This all started after i replaced the fuel supply hose,,,
