Preliminary explanation...Faulty carb. throttle linkage allowed engine to start & run at maximum rpm eventually diluting the oil and ruined the bearings and rings?? the block was previously bored .040" over. The crankshaft and rods were
machined .010" over and fitted with equal size crank and rod brgs. plus .040" Grant piston rings. Pistons were gone over by hand with "scotch guard" and cyls. were honed to clean up some scouring. Had the cyl. head machined .010"
and all new gaskets and seals fitted and torqued to specs. It has new points, condenser, rotor and dist. cap. It has an after market 12V coil and did run o.k. before overhaul. Plugs are firing when cranked with a remote starter sw.
and the ign. sw. to run position. It's wired 1-3-4-2 and dist. rotates C.C.
It started and ran before the rebuild. Fuel pump pressure is good and float levels are normal?
What else is there??
